The 2024 Honda HR-V LX is the base trim of the subcompact SUV and offers a good value for buyers on a budget. It comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 158 horsepower and is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available as an option.

The HR-V LX comes with a good number of standard features for the price, including Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features, such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. It also comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a four-speaker sound system.

On the outside, the HR-V LX has a sporty look with 17-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out window surroundings, and LED taillights.

Inside, the HR-V LX has a comfortable and spacious interior for a subcompact SUV. The seats are cloth upholstered and the LX trim misses out on some features like heated seats and a sunroof that are available on higher trims. However, it still has plenty of cargo space thanks to its 60/40 split-folding rear seats.
