The 2024 Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid is a small SUV that combines a traditional gasoline engine with an electric motor and a rechargeable battery pack. This allows the Tucson to travel for up to 33 miles on electric power alone, and it achieves an estimated combined fuel economy of 80 MPGe. When the battery is depleted, the gasoline engine kicks in and the Tucson gets an estimated 35 mpg combined.

The Tucson Plug-in Hybrid comes in three trims: SEL Convenience, XLE, and Limited. All three trims come standard with all-wheel drive (HTRAC), a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and a 13.8-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The SEL Convenience trim comes standard with features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The XLE trim adds features such as a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Limited trim adds features such as a Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, and a surround-view camera system.
